About Iridescent
Hi, I'm the one-person team behind Iridescent.co.uk, a small but growing shop born out of pure love for collecting.
My story with Pokémon began back in the golden days of Pokémon Silver, Gold, and Crystal. Johto will always be my home region, the place where I first fell in love with the magic of Pokémon. I spent countless hours battling with my favourites, Lugia and Typhlosion, trading cards with friends, and watching every movie I could get my hands on. I was also inspired by my favourite trainer, Ethan, who always felt like the perfect companion for the adventure.
Like many fans, life pulled me away for a while. The last game I played was Emerald before I drifted out of the scene. But recently, I came back. Opening a pack, seeing the art, feeling that rush of nostalgia, it all came flooding back, and I knew I wanted to build something around it.
That's how Iridescent was born.
Why "Iridescent"?
The word iridescent means "showing luminous colours that seem to change when seen from different angles." To me, that perfectly captures the feeling of trading card games; the shine of a holofoil card, the thrill of discovering something new, and the way a simple pack can brighten your day.
What I sell:
Right now, most of the stock you'll see on the site comes straight from my own personal collection. But I'm working hard to bring in official distributors, so I can offer fans across the UK, and eventually the USA, a wide range of Pokémon, Disney Lorcana, and other trading card products.
This isn't a faceless storefront. It's just me, a lifelong fan, building something for other fans. Whether you're a player, collector, or just here for the nostalgia, I hope you'll find something that makes you smile.
